Exhibitions extended due to COVID-19
The entire world has been thrown into disarray due to the unexpected consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. As can be expected, this outbreak has had innumerable effects on the global economy, with numerous restrictions having been placed on all sectors of society, whether corporate or private.
Regrettably, the exhibition season for 2020 has not been left unscathed, with many upcoming conventions and affiliated events having to be postponed. When you consider the time and effort spent planning and organizing some of these ground breaking international or local exhibitions, Extruct Exhibition would like to reassure our clients that we will be ready to continue constructing their customized exhibition stands once the exhibition calendar is back on schedule again.
Our professional team of exhibition stand builders have already started our preparations for postponed events, such as The Solar Show, jointly hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg together with the Power and Electricity World Exhibition, which have been moved from March to 20 and 21 August 2020. These two conventions are turning their attention in 2020 to providing energy to the people, through innovation, investment and infrastructure.
While the Africa Travel Indaba was meant to held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on 12 May 2020, this tourism marketing event has been postponed indefinitely, with a new date yet to be supplied.
Another two jointly presented conventions, the Africa Utility Week 2020 and PowerGen Africa 2020, have been rescheduled from May 2020 until 24-26 November 2020, with the venue remaining unchanged. Extruct Exhibition will be looking forward to creating their customized exhibition stands at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
It is also important to note that the Africa Aerospace and Defence exhibition, diarized for 16-20 September 2020, at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Tshwane, Pretoria, is currently still scheduled to continue as planned. However, should the 11th edition of the AAD Expo need to be rescheduled, the organisers will take cognizance of the lockdown regulations and restrictions at that time, and inform all stake holders accordingly.
Extruct Exhibition will however continue to provide the expert advice and guaranteed quality service that our clients have come to expect from us.
