Four “Invisible” ways to make your booth stand out

There are many reasons you might want or need to set up an expo stand. From introducing a new product line to building brand awareness, exhibitions are a great way to get in touch with your target audience. But no matter the reason, the goal is the same – attracting people to your exhibition stand. Here are our top four “invisible” ways to draw more people and make your booth stand out.

Book your spot early

The earlier you sign up as an exhibitor, the more choices you will have about stand size and location. You will also receive details of any restrictions or requirements early, giving you more time to plan and prepare – and less chance of having to start over when you realise you’ve included something in your design that goes against exhibition rules.

Location, location, location

Most exhibition organisers allow vendors and exhibitors to choose their booth location, especially if they sign up early. This is the perfect opportunity to place your expo stand in the most beneficial position. Look out for high-traffic areas; find out where the anchor exhibitors will be placed and request a spot near them; choose corner sites to maximise foot traffic.

Hype it up

What’s even better than people coming across your stand thanks to good planning? People coming to the expo specifically to visit your booth, or course! Hype up your exhibit on your social media, advertise in the expo marketing materials, write teaser articles about what people can expect – build up a hype around your exhibit, and interested people will come flocking.

Sound ideas

You’re going to spend a lot of time and energy on your exhibition construction to make sure it looks great. But what about how it sounds? There’s going to be a lot of noise at the event, so providing people with a space where they can shut out that noise can be beneficial. Alternatively, playing music that will create an area of calm, or even of excitement, can help your booth stand out. Just don’t make it too loud – you want people to be able to comfortably ask questions and hear answers without shouting.
